Glass
I have been employing glass in my work for over 15 years, Its diverse material and technical qualities represent a renewed metaphor for creation. From this perspective, the attributes of glass lend my work a complexity in terms of the relationship between matter and meaning. Transparency, opacity, fragility, emptiness and fullness, the play of shadow and light refected in glass, are significant elements of my work
My glass art work has been featured in numerous exhibitions: La Mariée at Occurrence in Montréal and the Galeria Yvonamor Palix in Mexico, la Chambre des Fragilités exhibition at the Roswell Museum in New Mexico, USA; the Corps Célestes exhibition at Galerie Plein Sud in Longueuil; at Flatfile Galleries in Chicago and Meridian Gallery in San Francisco, at the contemporary art Galerie Esthésio in Québec, Occurence and many others.
My glass work was selected for the International Competition of the New Glass Review, issues 25 & 26. Tina Oldnkow curator and director of the Corning Museum who edited these publications, presented my work in the installation section of the book 25 Years of New Glass Review.
I did several workshops at Espace verre in Montréal; Corning Studio, New York; Urban Glass, Brooklyn N.Y.; Jacksonville University, Florida.
