Painting

Chinese and Japanese painting and calligraphy strongly influence my work in painting and watercolour. I conceive these practices as an active form of meditation in timeless space, where forms emerge from the fluidity of smudges and traits. Emptiness and materiality, the void and fullness orchestrate compositions that evoke contemplation. The painting’s surface proposes a paradoxical space that is both deep and plane, serving as a screen to project a vast internal space. The Milky Way in my garden.
