Residency at Home 2020

During the first wave of COVID-19 confinement, I had access to a double room in an apartment under renovation. I took advantage of the situation to create an installation as a follow-up to the CIRCA residence. “Les multiples” is an ensemble of objects suspended in space. It was created during the same period as “Robe Voie lactée” using the same technique. A variety of floating objects appears to deploy itself in cosmic space. Like “Robe Voie lactée”, this group of elements playfully encourages contemplation and freedom.

In the second room I installed a work created during confinement. Each time I listened to news about COVID- 19 on television, I knitted. Thus I created a huge, net-like, crocheted circle that expanded exponentially. The net evokes the danger of being ensnared as prey. Both cosmic and cellular in nature, it occupies space like an immense territory.
